I realized there some newbies here and people still have a lot of questions about my disability so I’m doing a rehaul of this thread. Ask away my dears!

I was blinded at the age of nine in an accident. I was totally blind for a few months but, slowly got some vision back. I remember being blind. My hands where my eyes. I wanted to touch everything(still do hehehe). But, the worst things were like going into a room, like a bathroom, and not being able to find my way out again--SO FRUSTRATING! OR, people feeding me something like potatoes and gravy and then putting applesauce in my mouth without telling me first--GEEZ!

When I was blind and in the hospital, I had a nurse. I loved her sooo much. She was sooo good to me. I loved hearing her voice! When my vision started to come back, I told my mother that I wanted to see her and thank her for everything. She took me to see her. That lovely voice was attached to an overweight black woman! My nurse was like Hattie McDaniels! How awesome is that?! And I got a BIG hug!
