Being on time is pretty simply showing a level of respect. I see that for showing up for work on time as well as making it to appointments on time. The person cutting my hair doesn't owe me the potential to screw up their schedule and the schedules of others. I think the frequency of people who don't show up on time is the reason many doctor's offices want you there several minutes to half an hour before your appointment...it's so they can keep patients moving on through. They are assuming you are going to be late or last minute so they factor in more time claiming paperwork needs to be done.
