What’s Left?

It’s a dead cert that Trump is going to be acquitted next week. The thread running through Republican arguments for acquittal seem to be that nothing Trump did rises to the level of being removed from office.

-He illegally withheld the Ukraine aid.

-He illegally solicited foreign interference in a US election.

-He illegally attempted a cover-up of that solicitation.

-He illegally ordered people in his administration to ignore Congressional subpoenas.

-He illegally engaged in witness intimidation.

-He illegally used non-government personnel to carry out foreign policy.

If these acts (and others too numerous to list) don’t merit his removal from office, what’s left that does?
