Sanders has a ton of baggage the GOP has been saving in hopes that Sanders will be the nominee, then they'll let him have it. Like his support of the Sandinistas; he was right to oppose US invasion of Nicaragua but his vocal support for the Ortega regime decades ago is going to bite him on the ass in the general election and make it easier for Trump to paint him as not just a socialist, but a communist. What's the point of nominating a progressive if they can't beat Trump in the battleground states: Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin?
If Bernie gets the nomination, he's got my vote and my sincere hope that he will prevail against Trump; but the night before the South Carolina primary, I'm going to check which candidate is currently doing the best in those states and vote for that one. If it's Bernie, well and good. If it's someone else, they get my primary vote.

I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
