It's a pity that not only has Illinois not been a swing state since 1992, but, as a lifelong Illinoisan, I haven't heard a good word about Blago since he was arrested 12 years ago. Seriously, if this was a last-ditch attempt at trying to get Illinois to vote Republican for the first time since Bush Sr., he'd actually have a better chance of it if he tried to free R. Kelly. At least a few people might actually be interested in seeing him finish Trapped in the Closet.
