ANY of these performers (yes, even Lewis) was, on their worst day, funnier than the Urkel character and more talented than Jaleel White.

Bri is a simply an older version of a pimply faced 13 year old who thinks he is funny and cool.  The saddest thing is that Family Matters was on when was in his early 30s...he's not looking back on a favorite show from his preteens and early teens.   

My hunch is that the character of Urkel resonates with him.
