Thanks for challenging me, I just found out because of thread that William Katt, famous for "The Greatest American Hero" auditioned for the role of Luke Skywalker. William Katt played "Tommy Ross" in Carrie.
Continuity errors often exist in tv shows. I do think in the pilot Michael's character gets busted for grifting drug dealers.
It is just like in the original Cheers sitcom, Frasier's dad was a psychiatrist like him, but in the spin off "Frasier" his dad was a retired cop.
That was a good one Boru, even the lion question in the other thread threw me off.
I didn't call it a chick flick, go read all the posts, someone else did. I said I wouldn't call it a chick flick, because guys get bullied too.
Yes, I did call it a horror movie. All I was arguing is that Carrie is unique and doesn't really quite fit the word. I only used "Horror", it because if, back then, you went to a Blockbuster and rented it, it would be in the "Horror" section.
It has the violence aspect of it, but it still was not a monster movie, zombie movie, or slasher movie. If I had to label it, it would be more like a "supernatural thriller".
If Trump had been a character in Carrie, he would have been Travolta under the stage pulling the rope with his girlfriend.

If I remember correctly, in the pilot episode of Miami Vice, wasn't he the corrupt cop Crockett busts?
Well done!
I can’t answer your question, because I don’t know anything about the show.

I only use that title "Horror" because that is a common use for supernatural motifs with a violent aspect.
But I also wouldn't call it a "Chick flick" either. Guys get bullied too, and trust me, there are a lot of females I have seen in my life, that were/are mentally tougher and stronger than I was growing up and could have used them as friends to protect me.
Ok, so you wouldn’t call it a horror movie, but you called it a horror movie. And you wouldn’t call it a chick flick, but you called it a chick flick.
It’s squarely and firmly in the horror genre, and it isn’t remotely a chick flick.
