OP - I'll admit from time to time, I can be stupid on any number of topics that I haven't researched, but my ignorance fades as I learn and understand how the world works in all its complexity.
You see I'm skeptical about fantastic claims. I don't believe things without some kind of justification. I try my very best to not be a gullible asshole who speaks on things that I know nothing about.
People have lied to you your entire life. It may have started when you were young. A story about a bearded man who watched you when you were awake or when sleeping. He judged you and your actions and then decided if you deserved a reward or something that burned very hot, a piece of coal.
Of course I'm talking about Santa Claus.
You still believe in the adult version of Santa.
You are the very definition of gullible.
If I'm dumb, I can become smarter.
But when you are gullible, what choice do you have but to become more and more stupid as time goes on.
And you believe that only a god could have made you this stupid. No other explanation is possible.
