Twisted Sister was always about being over the top. The whole image was hair band on steroids. This song actually fits well with what they were. Note the flying bodies just like in the "We're Not Gonna Take It" video...and the teen age rebellion against parents.
They were never meant to be serious metal. They were damn near a novelty act.
Twisted Sister is far from the only band to take a bubble gum song and dirty it up a bit. Tongue in cheek Bri, tongue in cheek.
The metal competition back then was all about big hair, over the top looks, but TS burned out quickly.
Metallica lasted a lot longer.
And I never got into Marilyn Manson. But ok, yea he did a cover too.
