Um no.

My mom literally visited East Germany when it still existed. I can only guess at the time that East Germany was desperate for money so they allowed family/tourists to come in for a tour.

Kinda like when you go to the zoo and you want to see a Cobra or rattlesnake but you don't want to hold them or get bitten by them.

I would visit North Korea if I wasn't afraid of dying. Just like I don't mind looking at a great white shark from a boat, but don't want to swim with them without a cage.
