If one can handle non flavored whiskey, that I don't get. Even with rum, I prefer coconut flavor. And with any hard liquor, I don't get room temperature raw. No matter the flavors I love, I have to chill everything. I don't even get the English/British love of room temperature beer.
Peanut butter whiskey is like a PB AND J with a kick.

Even outside booze, my late parents bought into the bullshit "adult taste" upper middle class "food" that a kid could not possibly get.
There were foods, with fancy names, when I was a kid, that my parents kept away from me. Nothing alcoholic, just bullshit fancy marketing, that when I got older realized was just marketing.
Crap like fondu, or sorbet. My mom even bought into the bullshist cookie "Milano" crap. I loved them myself, but she acted like I was a surf , a scrub, and could not like the cookie like she did.
I love Baileys too. But in all seriousness, I fucking hate marketing. It is one thing to sell something that is better quality than others. But even then, you cant dictate what people like. Someone can scream about truffles and how they give them orgasims, but I hate mushrooms. So when people gag at "peanut butter" whiskey, I ALSO GET THAT.
1. Lots of people don’t like peanut butter. Even people who do just might not think it’s a good flavour for whiskey.
2. People who can’t drink whiskey flavoured whiskey shouldn’t be drinking whiskey in the first place.
3. British room-temperature beer is largely a myth.
4. ‘Fondu’ [sic] and ‘sorbet’ aren’t marketing terms. They are the actual name of actual things. ‘Milano’ is a trade name.
5. Marketing is a way to sell products. I’m not sure why you have an issue with it.
6. What the hell are ‘orgasims’?
