No, it’s not watered down. She promised him sex. He gave her the gift of prophecy. She refused to have sex with him, he cursed her. It was rather stupid if Apollo to ask for a shag in the first place, as Cassandra was an Apollonian priestess and had taken a vow of perpetual chastity.
