There's a tremendous difference between a president explicitly greenlighting political violence to his followers (and like it or not, that's what he did) which leads to the plot to kidnapped a governor, and a lunatic imagining subliminal messages (def: messages that aren't actually there) and then going out and orchestrating the murders of nine people.
