Macron begins to retreat from his racist, xenophobic statements about Islam

At first, Macron attacked Islam:

You and your fellow superstionists propagate violence. What do you want him to do? It's his job to look after people and protect them from religious loons like you who want to kill them.
Not anyones problem if you are too dumb to figure that out.

That’s the whole point - Macron didn’t attack Islam. He was very specific in singling out Islamist extremists, that psychotic subset of Muslims who think they don’t have to obey the laws of whatever country they’re in and feel justified in responding to every slight - real or imagined - with swift and blinding violence.

So, good on you, Macron.
