You could make a thread about the Hendrix's covers that were better than the originals. Jimi's version of Howlin' Wolf's Killing Floor is the song that ran Eric Clapton off the stage when Hendrix jammed with Cream. As far as I know there are no recordings of that night, but here is one of Hendrix's renditions of Killing Floor.





One of my personal favorite covers is Gov't Mule's version of Free's Mr. Big.
