You can't use feeling sorry for yourself at anything productive. You can't use it for anything other than miring yourself in negative thoughts and be trapped in thinking it's justified.
Do something productive and that which you find meaningful, for starters. Preferable something tangible that you can point to, in literal physical terms, could be anything, e.g. writing something down that has personal value or making a cup of coffee with beans you ground up yourself. Anything tangible, as long as it means something to you. [/armchair psychology]
