I had fun with carne equina when I was in Sicily. Noobs never asked what it was.

I have to confess I googled the term, and it isn't so much the animal but the nerve pattern that makes the spinal nerves  look like a horses tail

‘Carne equina’, not ‘cauda equina’. You googled the wrong thing.

Horse meat is ok, if done right. Not my favourite, but not horrible.
