Except he seems to be an enthusiastic but inept liar who is too stupid to know when he would easily be caught.
He puts everywhere on his resume that he is a fluent mandarin speaker, maybe leveraging off of his Mormon missionary days in china and his stint as embassador to china. But when told to speak something in Chinese during an televised interview, his Chinese was apparently complete gibberish.
