As I said Vagie... you are just as susceptible if you are vegan (do you fear getting cancer?) IF veganism is the answer then please explain to me how a 2 year old get's cancer from an otherwise "healthy-lifestyle" mother? I would like to hear how a "Healthy life style" saves one from Cancer, Diabetes and Heart failure..my godfather would dearly love to know.
It is my opinion that quotes like "High rates of Cancer" are just a media grab from misinterpreted/ misrepresented data. We have no idea just what causes cells to go rouge and it appears that you are using food as the scapegoat and this mystical "Healthy Lifestyle" to preach your own belief system. If your beliefs work for you ..GREAT

Balance AFAIK is the key to live a good life...nothing more. Maybe that is why I love riding a motorcycle?
