I took exactly one physics course at uni. The professor seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time on The Three Laws Of Thermogoddamics:
1. An object at rest will always be in the wrong place.
2. An object in motion will always be headed in the wrong direction.
3. The amount of energy required to change either or both of these states will always be more than called for in the departmental budget.
