Maybe expand on what your views are on the subject rather than just quoting people and throwing out insults. I can't know what your exact views are on the topic if you insist on hiding those views rather than expressing your own opinion. What do you think this UAP and USO phenomena is that has been in the news over the past few years? Any idea? Is it all seagulls? Please give your position on this so I don't make the mistake of misrepresenting your views in the future.
I don't think you can understand my view, because I hold a nuanced view, not eyes wide open, eyes fully closed, or eyes wide shut. Nearly 30 years ago, I was much like you (without the insufferable twat part). Buying into every nutty UFO theory and falling for every nut claiming to have some inside information. This shit rears it's head every decade or so and the results are always the same. I've learned to take the claims with a huge grain of salt as one after another, every claim, every conspiracy, every insider, turns out to be empty. Are there unexplained phenomena occurring in our skies? Certainly. Of course, they've been occurring since our primitive ancestors first turned their eyes to the sky and saw shit they couldn't explain. Unexplained does not mean inexplicable and every fucking time we've found an explanation, it's been mundane. That video you're so hot about is a cherry picked collection of Obama quotes and a metric fuck ton of speculation. You fell for it. You're not alone.
Would I be thrilled if ETI were actually confirmed? Yes. Am I done falling for every blurry photo and shaky, out of focus video? Also yes.
Unlike you, I don't pretend to understand what these unexplained phenomena are, nor do I speculate on them. It's fucking pointless Learn some actual skepticism and quit leaving your mind so wide open your brain falls out. It'll do you, and all those around you, a world of good.
Quote me where I posted that I claim to understand what the phenomena is. I didn't once claim that, so you are arguing against a position that was never expressed. I posted that I have no idea what the phenomena is, but what I do know is that it is not all birds, planes, weather balloons and swamp gas. The navy would not be misidentifying birds and planes hundreds of times over, day after day, and the people claiming it's all birds are taking a couple of short 20 second clips and ignoring the context of all the rest that has been brought out over the past few years (like the admission by former senate majority leader Harry Reid that most of the evidence hasn't seen the light of day, and the admission by the POTUS that the US government is in possession of data besides the videos that shows this phenomena happening), and are acting like they have absolute knowledge that it was just birds. These are wanna-be skeptics. They act like these few videos are the only ones in existence, and it was just one misidentification of a bird and there's nothing else to it, even though it is claimed this activity took place hundreds and hundreds of times, but if all of the evidence isn't in front of their eyes at the moment, they pretty much conclude that it doesn't exist. Information being classified does not equal information not existing. People need to learn how governments work.
I'm glad you are not one of the people saying that it's obviously birds. I apologize for misrepresenting your views before, and stand corrected. Taking things with a grain of salt at this point and waiting for more information and evidence to come out is not a position that bothers me. "I have no idea" is probably the best way of looking at this phenomena, and I have the same take on it. I have no idea either, but I am taking it a little more seriously than you are given the videos that have been released and the other data we have not yet seen that the President brought up. The Universe it seems is queerer than we imagined, but like you said, we must refrain from making proclamations before we know what this stuff is.
