How about you, television or movies, post your stories of improvisation that was not in an original script that ended in the final cut. And no, I am not talking about late night shows or things like Saturday Night Live. Just scripted sitcoms, or scripted movies.
In the first Star Wars movie, at the end where they're attacking the Death Star, the original script called for Luke's shot to miss. The Death Star wouldn't be destroyed, Luke would go home, and the sequel would be all set up.
But during filming Mark Hamill just said, ah, fuck it, and blew up the Death Star. Thousands of lives were lost. Worse, they had to get a new script for the sequel.
