I don't want to hear it. I was born in 66, but was exposed to W C Fields and Mae West. Try mentioning that to a 20 year old today. 

I still love the cartoon, because it portrays  empathy even when one has power.

This is one of my personal favourites, mainly because of the way it emphasizes rabbit's inhumanity to man.  It doesn't make me cry, but it does cause me to reflect on how the deep-seated hostility of lagomorphs towards our own species is clearly the cause of so much misery.

I always thought it was funny. Admittedly, seeing as it was such an unforgettable short, I ALWAYS remembered the part where Pussyfoot climbed out of the mixer just before it was turned on, so Marc Anthony's trauma invariably read as 72 seconds of darkly comedic dramatic irony, and for what it's worth, I'm fairly certain that was always Chuck Jones' intention.
