He has a SawStop, which the higher end saws have cast iron tops. I also have a SawStop table saw, but it's the portable jobsite saw. It has a powder-coated aluminum table. I'll be upgrading to the 3HP 220V 1Ph saw, soon. Must. Have. More. Power! I should have researched it more and bought the 3HP version the first time.A little wax once in awhile works fine, here in the desert.
I have to watch it on my vertical mill and engine lathe which both have steel surfaces prone to rust.... I keep the shop dry - meaning air conditioning when the humidity is up. A coat of full synthetic motor oil helps as well....
