I can tell you that my 84 year old step mother believes. She refers to it as "my Fox".
When we talk on the phone and she brings up a Fox story and then we discuss it, she will often change her mind when I point out errors or question the details/positions. The next time we talk, and the same issues are brought up, she's back to believing what Fox originally stated.
Bottom line, if you only take in one news source, the Fox viewers can believe and be indoctrinated. She's old and frightened of the world and change. Unfortunately she also votes, every time, straight down the Fox party line.
