If Hinkley goes off his nut again and decides to shoot more people - you' re OK with that?

He' s just defective - so bad behavior is accepted?

Just stop.

His behavior obviously was not accepted.  He was deemed mentally ill and was in treatment for decades.  

Fuck - I was institutionalized for trying to kill myself years ago.  If it would have been thought I couldn't get better, I'd still be locked up.

Very sorry you went through that- but there is a large difference -

You never demonstrated through your actions that you were a threat to other people.

Sure it' s POSSIBLE everyone could hurt others - but Hinkley removed all doubt. he IS capable of violence against others.

He avoided the death penalty with his defense. I' d say that' s as much as he should get.
