So John Gruden has been cancelled, and fired of course. He's apparently been including all sorts of insults and offensive language in his emails for the last decade including racist remarks, homophobic slurs and other sexist/misogynistic comments. What I don't understand is how/why a professional would include this sort of language in work related emails to colleagues. I've been a professional since 1988 and have never once sent or seen an email that included even one of the type of slurs Gruden used. The worst thing I've seen is when a colleague sent me a joke of Obama that included a dollar bill with Obama as the President but his face was so dark you could only see his eyes and teeth. I responded that this was inappropriate and to stop it. That was the end of it.
