Nice to meet a fellow New Englander. I also have a Canadian background on my mother's side of the family. I lived in Willimansett, Mass. until I finished third grade. The neighbourhood was populated by a large number of Canadian immigrants and their descendants. Just about everyone spoke a French Canadian dialect. My mom said that my sister and I spoke French before we learned to speak English, although I don't remember that due to the passage of time. Welcome to the forums.
