Meanwhile, institutional conservatism faces a very real existential dilemma which can't be solved without pandering to and enforcing white supremacy. They just don't have the votes, and they know it.
On a somewhat related note; what about our current SCOTUS? Frankly I’m worried about them fomenting and enabling anti-democratic positions.
