What is it you like about that game? Gotta say I looked at a review of sorts from a long term player on YouTube and he basically said the game lacked any sense of risk/reward / carrot on a stick... making it sound a lot like a game perpetually stuck in 'creative mode' ie where you can build anything or do anything but there's no point, beyond aesthetics, because you don't use anything or need anything and you're basically invincible. If that's the case, it wouldn't be my sort of thing at all... I prefer the grind rather than building just for building's sake etc. Is that your experience of the game? Though granted this video was from about four months ago I think so things might have changed in the game.
If you'd be interested in a similar looking game, but which does have plenty of carrots and sticks, I'd highly recommend No Man's Sky. I haven't played it in a long time so am a bit out of the loop, but it was great even when I played it and there's been many major updates since then, so much so that I figured if I played again I should probably start from scratch. Thus far I've only played on xbox but I could switch over to PC if you were interested in giving it a go? (ie I don't think it has cross play, though I'm not totally sure). Basically No Man's Sky could probably be classed as an MMO - ie it's set in a vast multiplayer universe, which if you have multiplayer on, you can visit other people's planets and bases etc... providing you have their portal coordinates... as well as join up with other players to do missions - which seems to be your thing, and there's plenty to do, explore, fight, trade, collect, build... so yeah, hope you consider it
