I picked up a vinyl copy of Sign 'O The Times by Prince, as it was on 50% at Target. Hadn't listened to this in ages.
A couple of the songs, no surprise from Purple Man, are pretty overtly religious in nature. I find these day that this impacts me in the same way love songs (that is, almost every song) did just after my divorce. I look at them as an outsider with appreciation for the songs, but with no emotional impact whatsoever. It's an interesting way to get into the music without the associated baggage, actually.
