That's good news. I think that religion has actually gotten more backwards with time. It was alright when we were worshiping the sun and the trees because those things are real. The trees give us oxygen, and the sun is where all our fucking energy comes from, so it's the closest damn thing we have to an actual god, so we'd be better off worshiping that. Solar panels? No, that ehs 4 teh hippies! Tch, if you asked the average Christian, they probably wouldn't know the sun is heavier than the earth. "Huh? Of course the earth is heavier, the sun is just hot air!"
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."
