So the character they create, for this new movie, had better be a white girl with red hair. Makes perfect sense. Making her a black girl makes no sense.
You're entitled to your opinions (of course!), but artists (and the companies that own the copyrights & trademarks to their works) have artistic freedom:

If they want to change their characters appearance, in whole or in part, well, that is their artistic freedom & right; at a minimum, such is their First Amendment Right.
