They deserved to be shot when some of them only committed misdemeanor crimes? Good thing you're not in charge. The Capitol Police let people in. You start shooting people if you want a civil war or something. You start shooting people if you want to give their cause a huge boost and turn them into political martyrs. You have no forethought, do you? The rednecks who held up at the Bureau of Land Management building? That situation turned out well for the government. The one guy seemed to be reaching for a gun when he was shot, so their side can't really say much about that, now can they? But if you just went in shooting all the people held up at the BLM building, then you've got another Waco situation, which could inspire another OKC bombing or far worse. You seriously have no forethought at all to consequences to government actions.
