Quote:Sure. What I should have said was, Nina Turner is too progressive and not willing to shove most of her progressive beliefs in the closet and not talk about them on the podium and just tow the party line and read talking points. Even the Squad wasn't willing to endorse their fellow progressive, Nina Turner and they sold her out. AOC endorsed her the night before the election to save face, because she knew it wouldn't have any impact on the election. Karine Jean-Pierre has chosen the slow and steady road to progress by being a mouth piece for the Administration, and Nina just has a different philosophy on how to go about things. But my point stands that Nina Turner is an example of someone who is a much better communicator than Karine Jean-Pierre.Her job is to state the government's agenda not state her own personal opinions. Nor are they obligated to side with someone just because they are a progressive and as for her being a better communicator that's simply a matter of opinion because I don't find her all that great really.
Quote:And yes, me voting for a Liberal Party Muslim does prove something. If I voted for a token Republican Muslim that was pushing Marjorie Taylor Greene policies or something, then you might have a point that voting Muslim doesn't mean much, but I voted for a progressive Muslim. Americans voting for Obama, a half black Christian who described himself as a 1980s Republican, has nothing on me voting for an actual progressive, who wasn't half white, and who is a flipping Muslim. Imagine the prospect of a Muslim American president. That's still a long way offNope, it doesn't mean anything you could be a Neo-Nazi and agree with Muslims on some things. You could be a Neo-Nazi and agree with progressive Muslims on things. So no voting for a Muslim regardless of their political affiliation can be tokenism. This proves nothing even if it's true. The person you vote for tells me nothing.
