Most of the university discoveries are government based too, because it is the government stumping up the funds.

And, so, you're saying that the Tax & Spend ethos of Democrats can actually produce tangible, real-World benefits??

To be fair, the spend without taxing in blatant disregard for the deficit, GOP method can also lead to useful discovery.

We just look to the DoD for funding, instead of NSF or NIH.
