Nice try. Most of the people here have what we call "social skills." Your interjecting of a falsity does not make it true.
Quote:I'm not acting like a dick.
We could take it to a vote.
Quote:I'm just asking questions and trying to get you to stand up for the answers you give. You (atheists) do claim to be the "brights" who are far more rational than we Christians.
You should not be trying to get anyone to do anything. Furthermore, "atheists" don't claim to be anything. Each atheist can only speak for his or herself.
Quote:She brought it up proudly. I didn't ask.
Yes, she did. That doesn't make it okay for you to respond in such a way.
Quote:I said it's good he's a Christian. In fact, I said "Thank God" he's a Christian. The kids need that perspective. Otherwise, all they have is the perspective of someone who's an atheist and chooses to be a stripper.
And the fact that you insinuate that the latter is wrong, thus insulting alei, puts my vote at "Yes, you are being a dick."
Quote:Do you feel the need to confess to a Christian?
No, I do not feel like getting figuratively or literally molested today. Then again, I'm a little old for you guys, right?
Quote:Seems more like you need to tell me that you don't.
Don't you wish. Wouldn't it be nice if you could have things your way?
Quote:When I called you an atheist stripper, did you think that was an insult? If you called me a Christian WASP, I wouldn't feel insulted.
Don't push it. You know damn well how you said it. Being coy won't help you. Then again, we could comment on the nature of your children's upbringing. I recall you writing something encouraging people to brandish swords against atheism.
Quote:That's my saving grace, my ace in the hole on Judgment day.
It's also why you are a Christian. The idea of an eternity of nothing is extra comforting when people like you say stuff like that. What you're getting is worse than hell. You are going to have a moment of, "Wait, this isn't supposed to happen like this." and then, nothing will ever happen again.
