1a. Schumer's opinion changed because of the passage of alleged voter suppression laws (despite no impact on turnout).
1b. Gillibrand's opinion changed when Republicans lowered the threshold for SCOTUS despite Reid previously lowering the threshold for regular federal judges (who just happen to get promoted to SCTOUS).
2. Politicians by nature change their opinion with the polling data.
