Oh it's very cleverly done, don't get me wrong, and the technology for doing it has improved over the years. I just find it very distracting, plus it somehow cheapens the film. I don't know. Anyway, for best short, I'm torn between Them Thar Hills, Towed In A Hole, Dirty Work, Hog Wild and Twice Two. Any single one of them has the power to reduce me to tears of pure laughter, even in my current emotional state; put them together and that's me finished.Yeah, I have mixed feelings about colourisation, but even if they do get Stan's hair color wrong, I don't think it's too terrible. It doesn't really hurt that when I was growing up and renting these movies from the Skokie Library, the only copies of these particular movies I could find were the colorized versions; plus, at least that version had better video quality than the old R1 DVD release (You're damn lucky that R2 had the complete collection.)
Plus, it was the only copy of the full (or at least serialised) short on Youtube. I couldn't even find a copy of the Music Box. Or Helpmates. Or Towed in a Hole.
Speaking of which:
