EG:
Person A: Water turns to ice due to invisible ice goblins.
Person B: Water turns to ice when the temperature of the water drops below 32F (0C). This causes the water molecules to slow down enough to stick to each other and form a solid crystal.
Of course it carries more weight, but this isn’t about a wrong non-scientific conclusion, but about one that happens to be right.
Person A (non-science): Water turns to ice only when it gets very, very cold.
Person B (science): Water turns to ice only when it gets very, very cold.
