Not to mention that plants DO breathe, which is what I think Anomalocaris was getting at. All the land-based plants that weren't washed away would have drowned.

did Noah know that plants breathed? did God send any plants to Noah one male one female? Did god have plants march onto the ark? As breathing was only one requirement of getting on the ark.

It's also a requirement for surviving a devasting global flood. All that pretzel logic to explain how the animals survived, but you're still left with 'God magicked it that way' to explain the survival of the land plants.
