Evidently, they were willing to look for this old speech (and ignore that he was talking mainly of age and not race or anything else), but not willing to take the five seconds of looking on Wikipedia to find out that even that aspiration didn't actually pan out, since the two crew members, well, they weren't 50-year-old white men; they were 61-year-old and 77-year-old white men.
