You have said that
- You believe what the bible says.
- If what the bible says is false, it will not change your belief in God.
Do you believe in God first, and therefore you believe in the bible? That doesn't follow, since believing in a God doesn't make you believe in other religious or mythical stories.
It sounds like you have made the choice to believe that the bible is the Word of God (and a faithful description of God), and therefore the bible must be true, or else your version of God must be false.
This leads to bad science and bad theology.
Bad science, because models based on evidence and predictive ability are the best stand-in for "truth" that we have as humans.
Bad theology, because a compilation of dozens of authors over hundreds of years does not provide a coherent (or particularly moral) view of God. If God exists, at best the bible is a flawed set of musings about God's nature from a pre-scientific culture. Limiting God to these set of views is to believe in a very small god, with all the flaws of an ancient people.
