So chromosomes then? Are people with androgen insensitivity syndrome men then instead of women? They sure typically look like women, act like women, and identify as women. We even see them as women. Despite lacking wombs and having male sex chromosomes.
No matter which way you look at it, it's a very complex topic. Let's not pretend it's as simple as black or white. You want to talk facts, then consider all the relevant facts, not just the bits that favor your biases.
And no one is lying to trans people. Some of us just don't hastily liken their experiences to that of seeing a pink elephant and aren't ok with rudely dismissing how they feel about all this without looking at all the biopsychosocial factors involved.
