Loneliness and the Perpetuation of Pain

True. If there’s nothing else going on, I always find something to occupy my time with.

If you’ve ever read The Phantom Tollbooth, it starts with a boy sitting alone in his room not knowing what to do with himself, and then after going on the big adventure that takes up most of the book, this happens:

And, in the very room in which he sat, there were books that could take you anywhere, and things to invent, and make, and build, and break, and all the puzzle and excitement of everything he didn't know—music to play, songs to sing, and worlds to imagine and then someday make real. His thoughts darted eagerly about as everything looked new—and worth trying.
"Well, I would like to make another trip," he said, jumping to his feet; "but I really don't know when I'll have the time. There's just so much to do right here."

Hell, just today, I spent a lot of time trying to find the right way to play this on kalimba:




Eventually, I settled on transposing it down a bit and just tuning it to B flat.
