He didn't "roll over and take it" he said "Give me the goddamn pen." and then "Why is signing this bill with a pen into law so slow?"
The only reason he wanted to veto the bill was because it didnt' give the executive branch ENOUGH POWER.
Well, Brits and Aussies, it was nice knowing you, but it seems like our government is ready to go full Stalin-era Soviet Russia on us here shortly between the censorship and secret police.
Soon, we'll be cut off from the internet places they don't approve of or some of us will be taken away and never heard from again.

If an asteroid were to land on you tomorrow, I would rejoice.
Because I have no more patience for supposed "allies" who really turn out to stab you in the back.
And you, shit sir, have stabbed me and your core constituents in the back.
We'll vote for you, perhaps, but the second we find a better deal, you're out on the curb with the garbage.
I think it says something when our freedom of democracy is basically between the guy who plunges America into soviet-style fascism or literally any of the republicans and we choose the guy who is signing in a law that eliminates one of our most sacred constitutional rights - that of our right to a trial and he's the best option.
Honestly - why is no one stopping this from happening?
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925
Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan
