You dont REALLY own those fields. that piece of paper called a deed doesnt mean shit, especially if some huge corporation eyeballs your property with ambition.
Say good buy to your field and hello to a new Wallmart parking lot...all legal...and barely receiving 75% of the value of your land in payment as well.
Hell, sometimes they dont even pay you. Imminent domain in America is 3 foot past the road...but, of course, you are responsible for caring for the land..it just isnt really yours. So once they stretch their road wider by 3 foot on each side then imminent domain kicks in again and says the next three foot of land on the side of the road is state property.
Not to mention you cant own land anyways, no matter how much people argue legalities and hold up peices of paper that say otherwise...humans cannot own land.
