When is political violence justified?

Do you think violence against innocent parties (terrorism) is ever justified to obtain political goals?

Or do you stop short, and only think assassination of, or violence towards, direct political targets is justifiable?

I personally do not think things like assassination or even violence is okay at all, no matter what. In terms of innocence, it depends on what good an "innocent" political party does, and if they do anything bad at all. Promoting violence of any kind, however, especially in terms of trying to win elections or disagreeing with others' opinions, is never okay. Yet, while the democrats are capable of this as well, the republicans seem to think they are not above doing this, and seem to resort to this more. Either way, politicians can act as desperate to get what they want and silence those who oppose them, and using violence like the January 6 incident is not going to do anything; it just shows that you are wrong and immoral, and not the better person.
