The horror of the concentration camps was not repeated by any other authoritarian regime. At least not on this scale.
In that era, they made us read this book so that all of us know what happened in these camps:

This writer committed suicide in 1987 after surviving the Holocaust. We came to understand that maybe he could not fit in this world anymore with so many people who were simply unable to grasp the scale of the horror these people were subjected to.
(So I’m sticking with my own “older” definition)
