We don't know the full story of where the matter for the universe came from.  It's quite possible that it has always existed in some form.

Lack of total knowledge does not mean, "god did done it, hyuck!"

Any answers along those lines id just a result of lazy, dark age, thinking, and harkens back to when we didn't have answers for things we didn't understand.

I agree to calling you by your preferred name if you stop your verbal abuse.  You say “we don’t know the full story …”. Sorry, I do, you can’t speak for anyone else.
Then you say “it’s quite possible”, very vague.
If you think matter might have existed always please explain how we arrived at today from always.
